Health & Safety Lead- Sweden

We are assisting a leading delivery partner specialising in Data Centre Solutions with expertise spanning the entire lifecycle of data centre projects in their search for a highly skilled Health & Safety Lead. As a Health & Safety Lead you will be ensuring compliance with local, national, and industry-specific health and safety regulations, minimising workplace risks, and fostering a culture of safety ensuring a safe and healthy working environment across all company operations. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Develop, implement, and monitor the organisation's health and safety policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. 

• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and national health and safety legislation, corporate policies, and other applicable standards. 

• Perform thorough risk assessments and hazard identification across all departments, ensuring that potential hazards are eliminated. 

• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, near-misses, and health concerns and identify root causes, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence. 

• Design and deliver safety training programs and awareness initiatives for employees at all levels, ensuring a thorough understanding of health and safety procedures, policies, and responsibilities. 

• Perform regular safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks across company sites to ensure adherence to health and safety policies. 

• Develop and manage emergency response plans, ensuring that the workforce is trained to respond effectively to emergencies.  

• Maintain accurate records of all health and safety-related activities, including incident reports, training logs, risk assessments, and audits and prepare/submit reports to senior management and regulatory bodies as required. 

• Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. 

• 9+ years' experience as Health and Safety Lead within construction in data centre, commercial, industrial, or pharmaceutical sectors. 

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry best practices. 

• Proficiency in Autodesk BIM360 Field software and other tools relevant to the role is desirable. 

• Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate employees at all levels on health and safety matters. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify hazards and implement corrective measures efficiently.
